Bankruptcy and Financial Reorganization
BNS has substantial experience in handling all aspects of consumer bankruptcy, business bankruptcy and other out-of-court forms of financial reorganization. BNS's bankruptcy counsel represent debtors, trustees, creditor committees and other special committees, creditors, landlords, purchasers of assets, plan and liquidating agents, examiners and other parties-in-interest in bankruptcy cases. Additionally, BNS's bankruptcy attorneys have experience representing individuals, corporate officers and boards of directors in out-of-court financial reorganizations. BNS's bankruptcy attorneys have also acted as "conflicts counsel" on a number of occasions in which they participated in the bankruptcy process to navigate around conflicts that occasionally arise during the course of a complex case. Finally, certain of BNS's bankruptcy attorneys have participated in the reorganization process in the capacity of bankruptcy trustees and/or receivers.
